Market Update: 11-09-20

The Issachar Fund (LIONX, BRI & ESG) is 63% Invested in 29 growth stocks as of Sunday, November 8, 2020.  The market seems to like the election results with a possible divided government as the S&P 500 Index rallied to less than 2% from an all-time high.  I have been buying growth stocks with accelerating sales and earnings exhibiting sound chart patterns of accumulation.  I believe the market is trying to tell us that all may be well as long as there is gridlock in Washington.  My job is to manage risk, and I currently see a lower risk environment to invest in.  I believe the market is looking good for now.  If I am wrong, I will do my best to get right and avoid life-changing losses.  (There is no guarantee that any investment will achieve its objectives, generate positive returns, or avoid losses.)

LIONX is a tactical mutual fund! Many mutual funds are mandated by Prospectus to stay “fully invested” regardless if we are in a bull or bear market.  LIONX is not required to ride out or buy and hold through the next recession or bear market like some funds.  I have been managing risk for over three decades, and I have witnessed fortunes made and then lost due to poor risk management.  I believe the key to long term financial success is to manage risk by seeking to avoid significant losses and riding the winners until sell signals are triggered.  Since day one, I have said that I will manage your money like my own, and I still do that today.

How do I manage Risk?  Many investors manage risk by dollar-cost averaging or buying at regular intervals in roughly equal amounts.  However, once they are fully invested, they typically buy and hold or ride out the stock market’s ups and downs.  My strategy approach is flexible in that it can change with the market depending on what I believe is working.  If the market is rewarding risk-taking, then I try to find the best risk/reward relationships to invest in.  When the market is not rewarding risk, I tend to sell or hedge positions seeking to avoid significant losses.  My strategy seeks moderate capital appreciation consistent  with capital preservation.

Bottom Line: I believe growth stocks are looking good as they have broken out of the gates and appear to be leading the race once again!  LIONX is back in the market.  I am finding lower risk buy points in leading growth stocks, which gives me greater conviction to get more invested.  The election may not have turned out as many had expected, but there is always Hope.  Keep the Faith, Resting in His Grace, knowing that God is still on the throne, working all things for our good.  God is Love, and He loves everyone the same.  I believe heaven is a dimension that can be found on earth and not a physical location we visit one day.  I pray God’s Peace on you today!  Amen!

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.  Hebrews 4:16
